Nice deal, i have 4080 version..

Here is what to do:

First thing to do is to remove the pre-installed antivirus and just go with windows defender and the the free malwarebytes... its all you need. Next thing to do is check for updates in the vantage app, update (I dont recommend bios updates) and then uninstall the vantage app. The next thing to do is download Lenovo Legion toolkit here:

https://github.com/BartoszCicheck...ionToolkit

That is essentially Vantage but uses much less resources.

The next thing to do is type "Startup Apps" in the search bar in windows 11.

Disable everything except the realtek audio driver and the windows security notifications.

Reboot..

Next update your geforce drivers (open geforce experience).

Next, install the xbox app and xbox accessories app if you are an xbox controller user and gamepass user. Open the xbox accessories app with your controller plugged in and check for a comtroller update if needed.

Next, go into nvidia control panel and make sure in the settings that power management mode says "Maximum performance"

Next, make sure enable G-sync is selected for the laptop display in nvidia control panel.

Next, download steam, gog, and epic games and make sure to get your free weekly epic games…also, if you are amazon prime, goto gaming.amazon.com and get your free games (gog, epic, amazon, etc)

next, if you are gamepass user, download the Hellblade 2 to test your system, its a next-gen game that looks insane on this laptop. Some games are crashing with RTX ray tracing enabled (Witcher 3 for example).

next, go ahead and type startup apps again and disable anything except the mentioned above..

next, disable fast startup (will get rid of hiccups in games)...

Go here - https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/...windows-11

Lastly, remember to user the FN-Q keyboard command often... if you are not gaming, make sure the power light is on blue...

getting the bottom off to upgrade the nvme is a pain in the you know what.. hardest laptop ever... youtube it first...

Really nice laptop for those who don't need a 4070 or higher and stay below $1k. Lenovo form factor and weight all look good.

The title says 512 but in the details it says 1TB. I think that was the confusion. I think it's a very good offer. I'll buy it in the morning. Thanks.

You might not be crazy. I swear it said 512 but it might have been before the mods edited. I got in early on this one and it was just a post still.
The title nor the description of this post ever showed it to be 512GB because I mention specs directly from the manufacturer's website which is the most authentic source. It's a mistake on Walmart's end to mention two different things.
Here's the official spec list, so you can have a look and be sure: https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/L...83DG00EEUS

Anyone have a pic of the power supply?
Weight and dimensions? Or will this run off a small 22w usb-c brick?

yes and I mentioned that - add 16GB $100 open laptop etc. not before returning, generous return policy at Costco and Core i9 vs i7 Costco mostly compensates for ($220 + $15 shipping) savings at Walmart

Should I get this or the MSI cyborg 14 ($749.99 @ best buy)?

They seem to have similar specs (Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, and 16GB RAM).

I'm kinda leaning towards this, legion 5i, since the MSI cyborg's graphics card is capped at 45w.

Bought the BH deal for $220 more

Faster processor
Double RAM
Most importantly to me: Better screen
Plus payboo card savings

It's still live if someone's interested

Very tempted. Not sure if it's a deal breaker because it's Intel (vs AMD) and RTX 4060 (vs 4070). Any thoughts?
