Yes however it usually doesn't pan out to do so because when Apple has any promotions they will include a gift card. They do this so that you can't use a gift card to purchase any deal from them because it's seen as using a gift card to purchase another gift card.

You seem knowledgeable, could I ask a question? Do you think there is much chance of anything ~20% or higher bonus coming anytime soon? Have any GC's ever had a higher bonus than that, like the 30% someone mentioned, but seems like may have been wrong?

I have a lot of Discover CB I want to liquidate (a lot) and I'm wondering if now's the time to do it. I could pull it all out as cash, but I do spend quite a bit through Apple. (At least $40 a month through subscriptions, but occasional hardware purchases).

I definitely wouldn't be using any significant amount at AMC, Bath and Body or Nike, which your link mentioned as the 20% off stores.

I bought an MBP using gift cards a year ago during back to school. Didn't affect the deal at all or the bonus GC I got later.

Using search history the highest I've seen for Apple is 15% and 20% for all others. Years ago it was probably higher but a slim chance it would come back.

Finally hobbled together 3 different cashbacks and got an Apple TV. Roku was driving me crazy. I literally timed it and it took 1 minute and 20 seconds to open Spotify.

I believe for Citi, the lowest amount is $25 gc for Apple, but it is definitely a better deal if you have the points. For Discover, you can get as low as $10 gc. At Discover there are other cards that offer 20% added value, but they are very limited to the 5 stores (some of them such as Nike are always at 20% year round so that didn't get a bump).

As far as for people trying to use their points, now is probably the best time to do it. Especially for the ones that's tagged "Limited Time Offer!"

My Discover rewards balance has been like $3.17 for several years. I never buy anything with my Discover card, and the 5% discount isn't enough to make me spend/waste money on things I otherwise wouldn't have.

Same. In the past I'd use it mostly for gas during the 5% categories and then maybe for Amazon and maybe Paypal, I don't think they've done paypal in a while though. Also doesn't help they removed extended warranty. It mostly sits in a drawer now and is only used for the Amazon/Discover deals when using 1 point lol
