Everyone who is comparing this TV with OLEDs, miniLED and OLED have their own advantages. I use LG C3. I always close my windows in the afternoon to watch on OLED.. sound quality is very poor on OLED, you must go with external speakers. Mini LED shines in these 2 areas. Sony X93L is best mini LED of 2023.

Yup. This needs to drop another 200-300 to be attractive.

I don't know why people are ok losing their privacy using Google TV.
There is no such thing as privacy nowadays. If you have social media account, email, mobile phone, Alexa, etc., your info has been sold to the highest bidder despite these companies telling you they valued your privacy.

Yes, now Costco has 75 Bravia 7 for 1599, and with 5 year warranty
Since the Walmart Sony TV deal for $898 didn't pan out as expected, I'm back to researching different models. I think I'm locked into a Sony Mini LED model - either the the 75" Bravia or X93L. I just don't like the comparable LG or Samsung LED models nearly as much. My room is fairly bright, so I don't think an OLED makes a lot of sense, even though the C4 is pretty bright (but also $600 more).
I feel like I've got the Rtings reviews for these two models almost memorized at this point. Bravia 7 is generally better, but the X93L is better at viewing angles and reflections. I've seen the Bravia 7 at Best Buy and I think the viewing angles are totally fine. But I'm not sure about reflections. They didn't have the X93L at the same store so I couldn't do a side-by-side comparison. Does anyone here have firsthand experience with both of these models (even if it was just at the store) to provide any insight? I'm leaning towards the Bravia 7 because it is brighter, newer processor, etc., but I'm just not sure. The X93L would be a blind purchase unless I can track one down somewhere.

I compared X93L with LG C4 and Bravia 7 and 93L has best performance for antiglare reflection handling and brightness. Love this TV. Don't miss this deal.

Bravia 7 is a very nice TV, I just couldn't handle the reflections caused by a window or a lamp. Like many things you get used to it, I did with my old Samsung. But again once I hooked up the x93 what a difference. Either is a fine choice, depends on how much glare your going to have.

For reference, this TV will replace a 15-year old 54" Panasonic plasma, which doesn't get very bright. Obviously, the new TV will be much brighter than my plasma and will drown out some reflections. But can anyone comment on whether it will be better or worse for reflections than a plasma?

Nothing like a pizza covered in rubys that makes me want to buy a TV?

TLDR term in TV area: There are only 2 types of TV: OLED and others.

Same with the tablet area: iPad and others

The thought of having a 77" OLED without a sound system doesn't make sense to me, unless you're piecing together everything slowly as sales roll in. That's how I put together my Klipsch system throughout this year. Everything I bought at sale prices is at the same price right now or slightly cheaper.

What's your setup like? I'm curious, because I've seen the viewing angles thing mentioned here before and on a few video reviews I've watched lately. I can't think of how that would even affect me. I can't think of how it would affect anyone unless ya got one of those huge u-shaped sectionals and people are watching TV from the side angle, but most are watching their TV head on.

Yeah, it's when we have people over to watch a game or movie. Some folks will be about 45 degrees off axis. Honestly, the reflections are a bigger concern because that affects us every day. Not the people that come over for a couple hours and to sit on the side couches. Haha.

Easy enough, walk into BB and look at the B7, can you see the overhead lights while the set is on? Forbid shine a light like a lamp is on. People say close shades, turn off lights, do I really have to shut things down to watch a show? This goes for any TV

Again, like I said B7 is a decent set. X93 isn't perfect, no set is, OLED will burn in eventually, but the picture is awesome.

Every product has its drawbacks. To each their own.

I have an LG OLED CX and am switching over to this Sony tv in my main room because the oled is too reflective. OLED is great at night with store dark blacks but reflections are too distracting for primary viewing.

This X93L with mini led is said to have great brightness and less reflection, so I am in for one.

Sony has the newer Bravia 7, but it too is said to have a reflective screen and is several hundred more during cyber Monday sale.

Thanks OP.
