For those of us awaiting the new "Stormlight Archives" entry in a few hours, the "Dawnshard" novella is only $2.23. The "Skyward" series is also dirt cheap.
Remember the two golden secrets of Audible. 1) Store unused credits as pre-order audiobook purchases before your subscription runs out. There is no need to use all your credits before your membership ends. When you see a book you want (in or outside of membership), just cancel the pre-order and your credit will be returned. If that pre-order is about to be released and you still haven't used the credit, cancel the pre-order, and use the credit on another pre-order. 2) Return audiobooks you have already listened to for credits or cash refund. You can usually return up to three audiobooks at a time, but this allowance is often only every couple of months. You can return books up to one year from purchase.

There seem to be some really good deals in this sale. I've gotten into the habit of saving things to my wishlist even if I'm just mildly interested, in order to look into at a later date (and to have a quick way to see if anything I'm at all interested in goes on a good sale). Definitely worth having a browse!
Unfortunately, I can't see the sale prices on books I already own, but here are some examples of some of the prices available. I can't vouch for how good these books are as I haven't read/listened to them yet, and some I was only mildly interested in, but it gives an idea of what you can find if you search:
$2.23
"Wanted: Toddler's Personal Assistant
How Nannying for the 1% Taught Me About the Myths of Equality, Motherhood, and Upward Mobility in America"
$.91
"So Late in the Day"
By: Claire Keegan
$2.36
The Woman They Could Not Silence
One Woman, Her Incredible Fight for Freedom, and the Men Who Tried to Make Her Disappear
By: Kate Moore
$6.60
(this is a pretty good price for a book that just came out in September)
"The Third Gilmore Girl - A Memoir"
By: Kelly Bishop

A good time for the many of us who got the $20 Audible credit over the past week to use it!
How do I use that? I see my $20 balance, it shows as "discount credit." But when I add any of these books to my cart to purchase, it wants to charge my credit card instead of my balance.
Edit: nevermind. It's kind of dumb. I go through the entire purchase, it even says verifying with bank, never gives me the option to use the gift balance, completely looks like it uses my credit card. But then my balance does decrease and I I look at my order history the purchase $0. Weird.

When you are paying with that $20 discount balance, it states that it's going to use your balance first. Maybe it depends on how you added things to the cart. I did a search, clicked on the book I wanted to get to its product page, and then clicked add to cart. At some point in there, it clearly told me that it was using my balance up first. At the last page of checkout, it will show your credit card as payment (but it still went ahead and used up my balance first, as promised). Maybe if you're clicking "add to cart" from the search page rather than the product page you won't see it?

You're probably right. I was just clicking purchase from the product page and it only had one more click to confirm purchase. So it never showed anything about coming out of my balance. But I'm guessing if I just added it to my cart maybe it would show it there. Either way, it's working. Thanks!

Wow, I never knew this and have always just used my credits before my time expired.

I grabbed the GA version of Red Rising, Crescent City, Fourth Wing, and some Sanderson!
