Blade on the right side is by far the norm for 7-1/4" sidewinders (as opposed to rear handle or worm drives). Practically all plug-in models are blade right. For a right handed person, blade right saws typically allow you to hold the workpiece with your left hand with the majority of the shoe and saw's weight on the workpiece, not the offcut. It blows the majority of sawdust away from you and your body isn't in-line with a kickback.

The complaints about sight lines are largely overblown and come from people using old saws without huge cut outs in the blade guard like this one has.

Not hackable, for anyone wondering. However, it's a great deal.

There is a hackable option in the app. Buy the saw for $249 and get the free 8.0 Forge battery. Itemizes the saw to $138.

I decided to upgrade from my current 7.25" Fuel for this one. Has anyone already done that? What are your thoughts? Getting it for $130 seemed a no brainer.

I really want to like these saws. I just can't get used to saws with a blade on this side.

This been on my list for a while. I didn't want the pervious version of this since it was out for a while and I have two Rear Handle models. Been waiting for this refresh: saw and Forge battery.

How much of an issue is having the blade on the right for someone who's right handed? Is it something you can get used to over time?
