I have the circular saw. It actually works pretty well. Won't get crazy and say it's going to replace a greater brand, but for small projects it's just fine. I also have a few Hart drills. For the price, they do the job. Definitely better than Hyper Tough.

This is also what I found. Hart tools aren't bad and the competition for tools is heating up with harbor freight as well. Good for the consumer on a budget.

It's Ryobi in white. Consider prices accordingly.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I own a lot of hart. Biggest difference between the two is the batteries. Ryobi has the Battery Management System (BMS) in each battery, something they did to keep battery backwards compatibility with their old old tools. Hart has the BMS in the tools (the circuit board you can see below the trigger).

Is the circular saw worth it at $78. I already have 2 drills (the nicer one and heavier bigger similar to this one) and 1 light. I already have an ancient corded saw, but dragging cords out to use it when I need to is annoying since it's the only corded thing I have now.

WHO MAKES HART TOOLS?

HART tools is part of the TTI group: Techtronic Industries. Publically traded under the stock symbol TTNDY, the company includes Milwaukee Tool, Ryobi, AEG (Ridgid Power Tools), Hoover, and others.

With such a wide range of brands stretching from DIY all the way to premium professionals, there's a lot of innovation and technology in-house that each branch of the group can learn from.

In my experience with brushed cordless saws, the smaller battery is the limiting factor. They just can't give up the amps fast enough for demanding work. Fine for a few cuts, done slowly. A 3ah or 4ah battery turns Ryobi's most basic, brushed saws into workhorses. Most of my Ryobi stuff is now brushless, but I still use their older, brushed saws, because they do a lot of work with the bigger batteries. I've done a LOT of projects with them. Built a barn, shed, animal pens, decks, and many other projects. So, bottom line, if you want to push that Hart saw hard, you need a bigger battery.

Are you already in the hart battery system with your other drills? If you are just getting this for a the saw I'd pass
