It's probably not tall enough to safely reach most 2-story gutters or to get on the roof and it'd likely be overkill for single-story homes.
I like this one best because of the twist lock and the 'project top' thing. Also, being able to 'reach' 14 foot is better than most other ladders this size. Even going to a 26' only gets you an extra foot in A-Frame mode.
I wish the platform accessory was in stock and even better if Gorilla made levelers.
If companies made these with 18" steps, I'd buy one right away.
I wonder if this is the same ladder. The rating is different but if you look at the weight and specs and the details of how it's constructed, they look the same. The thumbnail for this Gorilla Ladder on Slickdeals even says Tricam, which is who makes the Menards one...
Free delivery to a local (4 miles) store or drive 30 miles and have it now.
I'm going back and forth on which to get. I really like those twist locks, but it's $100 more.
These ladders are nice sizes, even the manual specifications are identical except Duty Rating:

Either of these are perfect for a split-level house.
As a step-ladder: 14 foot 'reach' about 10 foot real height.
As an extension ladder: 23 foot 'reach' about 20 foot real height and 19 foot last rung.
My soffit is at 14 foot, so I should be able to reach that in ladder mode with enough in extension mode to get onto the roof (although I can just use the 8ft garage roof).
Probably get one of those roof stabilizer things if I to clean gutters or something (like a Ladder Max stabilizer).
The ladder is still usable but it hurts your fingers trying to pull out the metal piece that lets u extend the ladder, since the plastic grip piece snapped off on the first use of a brand new ladder.
I'll never get another gorilla ladder, go with werner instead.
