This one annoys me a little. I had a 5.1 system in my cart over the weekend, which had Black Friday sale prices, but I was waiting to see what outlet sales they had today before pulling the trigger. The outlet prices for the 5.0 components are exactly the same as the BF sale prices on new items, AND they've ended the BF sale prices, so now I'm paying that same price for like-new instead of actually-new.

Man, I feel your pain, this happens to me too when I wait. I thought the Black Friday deals were really good for the speakers, I never seen the new SVS speakers go on sale before. I got the Prime center a while back and it rocks.

If you are going to buy, do it now. According the SVS, these prices might not last that long, might just be for today. Usually, SVS has their stuff on sale for a while, a week or so. But I'm not sure what they will do for Cyber Monday.

Yeah, I went with a Prime Center + 4 Satellites, then the SB-1000 Pro sub. In the end it was actually cheaper than the BF prices, since that sub wasn't on sale.

Why did you pick satellites and not 2 bookshelves and 2 satellite ? I am trying to set up my home theatre in a 15X13 room.

I got a smaller home theater room, like 12' x 10', and with limited space for things that would make it more difficult to put up bookshelf speakers. I've currently got a 5.1 system where the front l/r and surrounds are satellites, and I'm not unhappy with it, but wanting something higher quality. With mostly movie/tv watching, the center is most important, and everything else is more ambience that depends a lot on a good sub. So my hope is that the Prime center and SB-1000 Pro sub are big upgrades, and the satellites blend well for what they do.

I see, I will also check them out. I just saw Best Buy has better pricing for the new ones. They have a pair of satellites for $249 and $216 open box. Prime center is $299 on amazon and Best Buy.

SVS has amazing customer service. My amp died in a sub I purchased about 8 years before. The warranty was up for years. I emailed them asking how much it costs for a new amp. The customer service almost immediately replied and asked for the model number. So, I emailed him back and he again immediately emailed me and told me he would send a new amp for just the cost of shipping (like $30 or so). I of course took that deal and he even emailed back on a Sunday to tell me it would be shipped the next day.

I'd choose them again just based on their customer service. Their subs are great too.

This was my same experience as well with an sb2000. They also offered me a great trade in years later if I wanted to.
