do not buy these batteries as they leak with in a short time...read the reviews

I have not had an issue with these in use
However...I only use them in low discharge items...remote controls, clocks etc
They tend to last for years in some devices like remotes

A package of 36 has enough batteries that will be untouched for years for some people
Its stands to reason that 4 years later you would have batteries leak that are unused in the box
