FYI, when the battery dies - you can buy a replacement 'battery' that's actually an adapter, to work with a Dewalt/Makita/Milwaukee power tools batteries.
My parents V7 battery stopped holding a charge, and they already had a bunch of Dewalt 20V batteries.. it was a no brainer $20 fix.
Dyson's cost an arm and a leg, but they are one of the best vacuums. Confirmed by my cleanest friend, who has also tried Samsung, LG and Shark. I've tried Hoover and Eureka. Eureka was not bad for me, but Dyson still better.

Well, point of me commenting here is, NEVER buy a Dyson from Dyson. Try to find a retailer at the same price and good return policy. When you buy from Dyson.com, once you click "purchase", it's on it's way. You can't even cancel the order immediately. You just have to wait until it comes, then go through their difficult return process, wait weeks to get your money back. Dyson doesn't price match. They'll make some excuse that they can't, even if it's their own promotion. But good luck finding a good deal. Man, that laser light is amazing. I thought the floor was clean, until the laser light showed otherwise. A scene from "Married with Children", where Al Bundy gets eyeglasses, then clearly sees how his family is annoying, and immediately breaks his glasses, and goes back to loving them the way he remembers with his blurry vision. You can always opt not getting the laser light and continue to believe your floor is as clean as you want to believe, lol. In any case, your floors will be cleaner.

Shame these don't have the fluffy head - they're really good on hard floors because the vac doesn't have to work very hard.

If you have a lot of carpet, IMO you're better off with an upright/plug-in vac and using the V7 for hard floors or quick mess cleanups. Trying to do a whole house worth of carpet on a V7 battery, you'll probably need to stop and charge.

I have a fluffy head from dead V8. Does it work with this V7?

It should! I just got a V15 recently and the V7 fluffy head works on that too. Surprisingly, the new V15 fluffy head with the green laser also works on the old V7 too.

I purchased my V6 directly from Dyson and anytime I had problems, they were super responsive and even upgraded me free of charge to the V7 when I was close to the end of warranty period. The high ticket price is worth that alone!

Any suggestions for a V6 battery replacement?

Also, do you have a link to the adapter that can be used for the V7?

Bought a v7 back in 2019 direct from Dyson years ago and just did a third party battery replacement on it. Mine came with a lot more attachments than this for $205.00. Sucks that this wouldn't be far cheaper by now. It holds up incredibly well, I've accidentally sucked up water a few times before and it's fine. I wish I could have afforded the HEPA version and I want one with that green light but the current one performs so well there's really no point in getting a new one.

Been looking for a while at Dyson. Thanks for info on the V7. Just bought from Dyson $200 off so it was $200 plus tax and free shipping!
