I am still using a Forerunner 645 Music. Its generally fine but I wish the battery would last longer and I wouldn't mind some of the newer health monitoring stats.
Would this be worth upgrading to? So many Garmin deals last few days, but hard to keep track of all the model variations. If I wanted to max battery life, I should get one that has solar right?

Can anyone confirm this is indeed Epix 2 Sapphire edition? I am not able to find exact match on Garmin website. Non-sapphire edition is different in many ways. Thanks

Yes, this is the sapphire edition (the one with multi band GPS). For some reason Garmin seems to have removed these form their website. I dont think they typically do this for older products, but maybe they want to create differentiation between Epix 2 and Fenix E?

Based on BestBuy's website, it seems to be non-sapphire. But cannot confirm. Based on Garmin's pricing trends, non-sapphire always starts at $899 and Sapphire versions are always $999 or more. And obviously price varies based on sizes as well. In the worst case scenario, one can return it if it's not sapphire or ask their cs if they can offer anything for misinformation/false advertisement.

There is no such price trend for Garmin products. It absolutely depends on the product itself.
