Man, I just bought these a few days back for $15 more and they're already processing/shipping my order.

The 'best' deal this season, in the sense it is no better or worse than the 16TB/20TB/22TB deals on the same hard drive.

WD kept exactly the same $ per TB ratio for all of their deals — just rounded off to nearest suitable price (16TB - $250, 18TB.- $290, 20TB - $320, 22TB - $350). Technically, 16TB was a hair better (obviously to hit a more appealing price threshold,) but not enough to be a standout.

Unfortunately we didn't get any great NAS hard drive deal. Prices were generally higher than last year I think. Even refurb drive prices crept up.

If tariffs go up, this is going to be the best it gets for a long time.

Maybe call and see if they will do a price adjustment. If you got multiple it might be worth it to refuse the shipment Hope it works out.

You are correct from the pure price per TB point of view. I would like to point out there are other considerations that make some deals better than others even with equal $/TB. The obvious thing is that higher density is less expensive in the long run from the physical space and SATA ports. It also costs a tiny bit less electricity to run, say, 5x22TB vs 6x18TB.
Another thing to watch for is different specifications. If we look at the data sheet for the Pro line, we will see that average noise dBA varies noticeably. They are pretty loud from 12 to 18TB, then drop from 36 to 32 dBA for 20-24TB. It might be important for some - it was for me. When I started with my Unraid NAS, I was looking specifically for Red Pluses that are very quiet (with 10TB being a drastic exception). Unfortunately, they go up only to 14TB, so when I needed something bigger, I jumped all the way to 20TB (missed the 22TB deal) that should be less noisy, although still a bit noisier than the Pluses I have.

Same. Idk how supply chain works but I just assumed it'd drop, or match, by now.

I think WD messed up. Earlier the little sale banner said "LIMITED TIME: Save when you buy two 16TB" Now it says "LIMITED TIME: Save when you buy two 16TB or 18TB". I dont think they ever intended 1 18tb drive to be $290 as thats the bundle price discount, and now its corrected.

It still shows the $289.99 sale price for me... maybe you have to be signed in?
