This is not a keycard. It is an offer directly from Quicken for new customers. Can it be used to extend an existing subscription (with auto renewal off)? Is it activated immediately upon purchase of can activation be delayed?

Judging from the fine print at the bottom of the screen for the first link to Quicken Classic Deluxe, no it cannot be used for current subscribers; only for the first year of new subscribers.

I'm curious in this too... Some of the codes sold at various stores are for new customers only and will not extend your license but reset it to 12mo. I'd love to know how this one is handled precisely as I need it for a renewal and I don't want to be out money.

As mentioned I don't think this is a keycard either. It's for new subscribers only that automatically renews and you are billed again at the full price at the end unless you cancel.
My understanding is with the keycard purchases you can only apply the key to extend when you are in at least the 6th month of your subscription.
