Just curious, but if you don't eat junk food, why would you open a McDonalds deal alert, read all the comments, and reply? It would seem like a waste of your time, imo.

These deals really serve as a reminder at how weird of a concept inflation is. You don't have to go back to the 1980s to remember these double cheeseburgers being cheaper. Even in the 2010s they were on the dollar menu lol. Menu price over $2 now.

I really don't understand a lot of these comments.
If you don't want the burger, that's fine, don't go.
A lot of us drive by a McDonald's anyway and enjoy a good deal.
Is it a huge burger, no?
If I'm driving by and want something to eat for less than a dollar will I stop by? Sure.
Live and let live.

How is the taste of beef patty in your area ? Mine tends to be on the dry leathery side...some days come out ok
They are supposed to discard patties from the warmer trays after 20 minutes and broil fresh ones. However, sometimes they get lazy and just reset the timer—sometimes multiple times in a row. If you're unlucky, you might end up with a burger containing a patty that's more than an hour old. While it won't kill you or make you sick, it definitely doesn't taste as good as a fresh one.

I remember I went to McDonald's as a teen with my friend once, I forgot what I ordered, but he ordered a bag full of 29 cent hamburgers and 39 cent cheeseburgers haha he munched on them throughout the day. Good times

Will never understand complaints on deals like this, $.50 for a 450 cal burger with 25g protein and no other purchase requirements is a great deal.
It's not a deal because your health will end up paying for it later. Look at the ingredients. The double is not even 100% beef. You're eating processed junk.
