I guess I'm crazy, but I really like most of the Zevia flavors.

Weird thing I stumbled across, I would drink Zevia sodas sometimes and I would often get a headache after. I read that this can happen with stevia if you're allergic to ragweed, which I am (and many with seasonal allergies are). So if you get a weird headache after stevia that may be why

Has anyone tried them? What can you compare the flavor to?

i was so excited when i got a variety case of zevia at costco. So nasty, worse than regular diet sodas. Fiance and me could not finish a single can of the 3 flavors we tried.

I don't know what they can blame the horrible taste on because I have had many other stevia-sweetened products (my fave protein powder uses stevia for sweetener) and they don't taste like what Zevia's taste profiles end up tasting like. Bitter, chemically, just generally gross.

Zevia is definitely not for everybody due to the stevia aftertaste with certain flavors definitely better than others. Root beer is probably their best. I like their Cola (Kola hah) flavor as well.

Everyone blames the stevia, but I truly think it's just inept flavoring "scientists." No other stevia based product tastes as bad as what Zevia tastes like.

I agree with everyone in this thread lol. I've developed a taste for it but also get why people would dislike it. I will say that I like having a soda brand that is sugar free and doesn't stain my teeth no matter how much I have!

If I completely cut out real sugar from my diet, after a few weeks aspartame, stevia, and other artificial sweetners taste good and sweet. A few hours after I consume sugar, artificial sweeteners taste nasty and bitter. It's weird

Interesting…I learned recently that I can't tolerate Zevia anymore 😢 I loved every flavor (except cream - yuck)! These actually gave me crippling IBS symptoms after 2 years of enjoying them. The pain was so unbearable and I didn't know what was causing it until I eliminated zevia from my diet for a couple of months and the symptoms disappeared like it never happened.

It's drinks sweetened with stevia. I had to cut vitamin water out too. So now I'm back to sparkling water, or plain old sugar and it's been working well.

I am the same way. When I turned 41 I started getting absolutely terribly bloated nearly everyday, and I was having huge abdominal problems, I'd often have sudden nausea, like the kind you get when you wake up in the morning with horrible indigestion. I couldn't pinpoint it. Literally overnight, I cut some energy drinks I was taking that were zero sugar but the artificial sweeteners, and that all went away. I had regularly been drinking that stuff for a couple of years, so I didn't immediately think it was them. But it's like one day my body woke up and rejected it.

Never had a problem since. I actually was still in denial it was Zevia so after a couple months with no issue, I decided to try a drink again that had it, and sure enough, by lunch time I had the exact same problems I had eliminated. It was definitely confirmed to me. I can take some artificial sweeteners without issue, but for some reason Zevia my body absolutely rejects.

Exactly, one hundred percent…I can do sucralose with no issues. But stevia… nope. It would be interesting if there was a scientific name for that. I have done searches but got nothing. My pcp and ge didn't have anything definitive either. Hmm.

Anyway thanks for sharing.
