However, I always find that wooden shovels better and lighter and sturdier. I hate fiberglass shovels.
One more adder. HD has their drain spade (I call it a sharp shooter) for 35. The issue is that it has a lifetime warranty though. I've had shovels break and they just replace it. Easy. So if you want wood like me, have rocky soil like me, beat the tar out of your shovels like me, and are going to actually put them to work, then I'd go with a husky one and have the peace of mind that you're not going to be buying another shovel right after or even during your yard project.
Anyways, I use a spade for almost all my digging.
