Second game just tried a little too hard and messed with a lot of the traps to make them less fun. Some of the levels are really hard to beat single player.
Third game, IMO anyway, is just a little too long. You start out playing as the new apprentices and then eventually you get to play as Max again, but by that time I was already sort of tired of the game. The traps seem kind of uninspired too.

Second and third felt frustrating/uninspired and requiring at least one more person.

First was solid! 2nd was a good follow up. I like that they addressed how things occurred for there to be a 2nd one..
Plus, you will find yourself constantly humming the victory music at the end of each level 🙂

Not only is this easier to click and buy at once, but at $12.50, it also could be a few pennies cheaper too.
3 has a co-op mode which is… interesting if not a little dumb. And it also has mutation runs you can do for an added challenge - I think it was called rifts? Anyway it's the true endgame: you play through a series of maps and get random buffs and debuffs to pick from for each with mild veto power - resulting in unique runs.
I played it so much it became a problem and I had to uninstall.
