Anyway, if I had to have only one router, it would be this one.
It is a great balance between price, power, features, and ergonomics.

It's also nice to have multiple if you have a router table/cabinet, so you can just keep one in there.
Cordless trim routers are convenient, I guess.
I built furniture professionally and can't imagine using more than the 3 I have (2 corded, 1 cordless.)
Anyway, I think I paid about this much for this router about a decade ago and it lives in a router lift now. It's been great.

I do have this router but looking for a pair of routers now for dedicating to dovetail jig. So looking for one that supports pc bushings (eyeing DW618)

If this is your first router, be aware this has an on/off switch and not triggers. I personally find it very awkward to turn on the switch while holding the router in position with the other hand, on/off is required if you want to use it in a table. If you want this router with triggers, look at the MRF23EVS. I'll likely "upgrade" to that router at some point and help rationalize it by getting the plunge base combo that time.
I use this router as part of my router sled on rails (since I dont have space or need for a legit jointer), and also for my dovetail jig. The micro adjustments are excellent. It's heavy and there is minimal vibration.
