Costco has the Qi2 version that is compatible with Android phones as well whereas the Amazon version is MagSafe only. I would say that the Costco version is better because of the versatility and Qi2 is as fast as MagSafe on iPhones.

IPhone 16 does 25w wireless charging (this unit is max 15), and you can use Magsafe on Android with a Magsafe case. So this is actually a little weak.

I have this from Lisen, which seems the same? It usually goes on sale for $30 frequently.
I'm definitely interested in this, but Amazon notes that it's frequently returned so it's probably a low-quality knockoff? Plus some of the reviews mention the charging is really slow. When the Belkin is at full price, the Lisen is probably a great deal. When the Belkin is $60? It's a really really nice device, so the price difference only should come down to what you can reasonably afford.

Bought one of these yesterday and I actually see the heft of it as a plus (maybe not for travel), but it makes it easier to pull the phone off with one hand without the charger moving or falling over
Exactly. I like that it's heavy. I wouldn't use for travel but I love it for my desk.

Although they are similar in design, they're quite different. The Lisen light, all plastic, and the Watch adapter is magnetically stored in the base. The Anker base is all metal and weighs well over a pound and the watch adapter is spring loaded in the side. There's no question the Anker is far superior if you don't mind the weight.

Wish there were a version that supported fast charging on Apple Watch. It's hard to give up the cable when you need a charge before bedtime.

The Amazon version does not do 25W MagSafe. Also MagSafe is not the same as generic Qi charging and won't work with Android just because there are magnets. The Costco version will charge Android phones while the Amazon version will not.

LOL, sure it will. Magsafe is a standard. If you have a Magsafe case on an Android phone, it works just fine.

Samsung doesn't support Qi2.
The S24 range was released prior to specification being ratified, and it impacts the s-pen.

No, it actually will not. It will revert to default 5W (maybe 7.5W?) 'standard' Qi charging. Qi2 allows up to 15W for supported phones. Just because you add the magnets doesn't mean you'll get the faster charging rate.
The Qi2 version should be better, because in theory it will be compatible with more devices once they start supporting Qi2. Right now only iPhones and like 1 very weird Android phone support Qi2.

Not at 25w. Only the latest OEM MagSafe chargers will do 25w

I was refuting his incorrect statement where he said "The Costco version will charge Android phones while the Amazon version will not.". That's not true, it'll charge fine but at 15W (for Samsung, anyway). He was claiming it won't work at all, which is false.

Bought it and returned it. Although it does charge an iPhone 15 Pro at a decent speed, it heats up the back to 45C; which is not great for the phone's battery.
Though what annoyed me enough to return it was the faint rhythmic squealing noise (coil whine) it produces when nothing is being charged. This may not bother 95% of the population, but it bothers me especially when it's within earshot on my nightstand.
Of course it gets hot while it's charging - ~110F isn't going to damage the battery at all. The coil whine (if that's what the noise was) would definitely be a return on my part. Whining could be any number of things including several different components announcing that they will be failing in the not too distant future Wink
