To clarify the other two comments - This and all other Hue products use the Zigbee protocol. So you do need a hub, but it does not need to be the Hue Hub. If you have any Zigbee hub or dongle, they can connect directly to it without a Hue Hub. However, be aware that then the Hue app and its features like scenes will not work.

I have 30+ Hue devices paired directly to Home Assistant using a Zigbee USB dongle, and they work great.

I have 30+ Philip color hue bulbs, and recently bought a couple of these hue wall switches.

Does the Lutron Caseta work within the Philips hue system to control my lights, on/off, color, brightness, etc?

Trying to figure out your comment as it relates to an existing Philips hue system

If you've got money for this, you have money for Lutron caseta. These look like toys in real life.

You're comparing apples to oranges. They have completely different applications.

There is no correlation. Hue works on Hue. Caseta will not. The point is moot.

If you are running home assistant you could make them work together. That said most people will tie into one ecosystem or another.

I've got Hue bulbs tied into a zigbee coordinator in home assistant, and a Lutron caseta hub tied into my home assistant. So I could pretty easily configure the Lutron remotes to control hue lights, or anything else that's connected to home assistant. Like I said though, that's not for everyone.

As a person who rents a home currently, these are great to use next to the switches for guests. The panels use stick tape to just stick to the wall instead of requiring wall switches. I have them in every room. Also great when you're going in and out do a room quickly, instead of asking Siri or carrying your phone. Luckily I got them for $6 each on clearance at Home Depot last year.

That's fine, but you're not purchasing Lutron Caseta because it has native Philips Hue integration. It doesn't. This deal is about a 2-pack of remotes designed for Philips Hue. They do what they are advertised to do really well. The notion that you should buy an entirely different ecosystem to connect to Philips Hue is an entirely different discussion.

I'm pretty sure this is the normal price for this 2-pack at Costco, but it gets de-listed every now and then, for some reason. Sometimes it goes on sale for $30, I believe.
