And tipping on higher bills. Honestly it is unaffordable to go to even low end restaurants like OG, it's around $100 out the door for a small family even without any adult drinks.
But all of the restaurants seem to be filled up every night and overpacked on weekends with people willing to pay these prices.
And that's the problem of the person ordering food? If they're not happy with their wage then do a different job. Waiters/waitresses in other countries don't have this same mindset. Tipping was supposed to be a reward for good service, but now people feel entitled to it. I am sure I'll get a lot of hate for this.
I bought this last year, I used it at longhorn bc it's one of my fav steak places. I have not been there since bc on takeout orders 2xs I did not leave a tip and got some dirty looks from the person at the bar I received my orders. I'm normally a pretty big tipper but I did not feel it was necessary on a take out order. Had there been a tip jar or I did not get the look I'd probably left a few bucks. Should you tip on a take out order ?
NO! I don't understand why this is a thing the last few years. All they're doing is handing you and order. No reason why this should require a tip!
Why do we tip a waiter/waitress who brings us water but not our nurses or doctors to care for their patients?
the difference? nurses and doctors are not paid below or near minimum wage.. in fact, trust me, your medical care is getting paid either by yourself (or just partially) or the rest of us (taxes), premiums, etc.

Anyone having issues with the gift card not working? I see a couple of there recent reviews saying that they didn't work. I got one and the Darden balance check website says that the account number I either closed to invalid. Can't imagine that someone like Sams would have issues with this but I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say.

For future reference, the PIN on these e-gift cards is not the real pin, for some reason they just use the same last four numbers from the gift card. This is why the error message occurs when you use the online balance check. CS on the phone confirmed that the gift card was good.

I could not use mine online. It said it was invalid. I went to the local OG. The manager entered in the gift card number at the register and it worked.

I will go to OG by myself at lunch and spend maybe $15 but load up on the unlimited salad and take my entree home to eat for dinner.
