Yes you will need a compressor. The next best thing to get if you don't want to go the pneumatic route is to get a battery operated one

3 gal husky baby compressor for $49 on sale if you aren't doing much. Easy to haul around.

Battery powered ones will cost at least 2x more. The lower end ones are more likely to jam.

Yup this is the way to go. Used to lug my 26 gallon until I got one of these portable ones. Perfect for the DIY homeowner
