For some reason Chase charges more tax than Costco.
Costco is re-stocked on the ethernet model for $135. It came out to only ~$4 more at Costco with a better return policy.
Bad deal folks. Chase point redemption is best spent at 1.5 cents per point at minimum. We used to get better rewards and flights for more then $0.015 long ago
Not everyone has a premium Chase card that gets them 1.5 cents per point. For someone who only has a Freedom or Ink Cash, they only get 1 cent per point.
Also, you don't have to pay with points, you can get this by paying with your credit card.

I hate the spam, most of the recommended items are behind paywall even after selecting only certain apps i subscribed to. On top of that lossless apple music is the main reason i bought it even though i'm very much inside Google ecosystem.
I don't care either way, but IMHO the best way to use the google streamers is to swap to projectivity launcher, which does let you more directly limit the apps it suggests, remove any spam, etc. It's pretty great, and especially nice to set it up in a way that's good for less technically capable folks as well.
If GoogleTV, after its customization, is in the middle of this spam spectrum, with the ATV on the low end, the FireTV is on the crazy high end. Recently bought the FireTV to keep some of the purchases we had for Jackbox games, etc and even for only ~$20 it's infuriating.
Honest question, why does everyone want the 128 GB version of the ATV? Gaming? 64 GB for a streamer seems like plenty but I'm clearly missing a common use case.

I started using native LG apps because of the clutter but i do miss recommendations. New homescreen in LG is much worse so reverted back to old LG launcher. and once I configure ATV i'll try projectivity launcher if it's available to my old Chromecast with Google TV. My reason for going with 128GB version is ethernet port. I'm actively trying to limit my number of wifi devices and two ethernet port is available right behind my tv connected directly to my router via switch.

Gotcha shows my naivety that I didn't know only 128 has the Ethernet. I've heard that's worth it for the streaming stability too.

Edit: in the past, I believe I've just converted them to a credit on my statement.

1c per point value is not a deal in any way.

No. That is the discounted price. Either 126 dollars or 12,656 points
Expected date of release?

It won't be till mid to late 2025. Probably September 2025. 9to5Mac dot com had a feature on it in Nov
That's what they said this year too. Just get it if you need it. These things are still way better than native tv apps.

Best value is transferring to airlines for premium seats on international flights.
Second best is transferring points to Hyatt Hotels, a value of roughly 2 cents per point.
