If the "deal" involves 'subscribe and save,' then it is not a good deal; not worth the hassle. Kroger had these for $1 in the last three weeks.

I bought chocolate chip cookie mix the other deal. Why does that one list to use butter and egg? But this one says to use oil and water?

The hassle of what? 3 clicks to cancel? Granted these cookies aren't a good example, but 15% on pricier sub items makes it quite worth it.

When they first came out with "mixes" you only needed to add water. However, people at that time didn't feel that they were "homemade" enough so they added eggs, milk, or other ingredients to appease those making the cookies or cakes so they felt more "homemade."

So where is the nearest Kroger to NYC? I've never seen a Krogers in my life so your point is moot for a lot of people. And as far as I know, Krogers doesn't offer free shipping. So for a New Yorker like me, this is indeed a deal.

And if you think subscribing then cancelling is a "hassle," then you shouldn't be on SlickDeals.
