Saw fanflix and was bummed I couldn't use my Vudu gift card. Saw Vudu price matched and purchased. Thank you for the heads up.

Also streaming on Hulu & Netflix

Excellent show with excellent actors. Depressing enough to realistically (as you're going to get on a dramatized show that has to keep the viewers' interest) to depict poverty and addiction, with a dash of dark humor.

Went downhill after season 4… I even skipped the last 2 after Fiona left because I couldn't bare how bad it was

Almost bought through Vudu til I noticed it was $20 only for SD and $25 for HDX. I bought through Fanflix for $20 HDX.

Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy stars as Frank Gallagher, a single father of six who spends much of his free time drinking at bars. The Gallagher children -- led by oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum), who takes on much of the child-rearing responsibility due to her mother's absence -- manage to raise themselves in spite of Frank's lack of parenting and unusual parenting style when he does choose to act like a father. The drama is an adaptation of the BAFTA Award-winning British show of the same name.

Shameless is a dark, urban dramedy that overcomes its leaps of logic thanks to fantastic casting, intriguing ambiance, and shock value.

I just tried going through Vudu/FAH, and it is showing $20 for HD/HDX. Perhaps you were looking at the individual seasons, which are listed for $20 SD/$25 HD per season.

Fiona's actor left the show. The writers and cast had to shift to reflect that fact.

And the child actors started to grow up. You really should have given them a chance to grow into their acting skills too. They each did a great job by the end of the show. All fleshed out characters with story arcs of their own that you cared about in some way.

What I feel you may have picked up on was how poverty and addiction in their nature / nurture had uniquely affected each of them. It was painful at times even to watch.
