Typical max torque limit on a 1/4" drive is 20ft/lb, so you would need 20lbs force to exceed the torque limit on the drive. Studies shown that a typical hand clap is between 20 - 40 lbs force.
That's why we see stubby 1/4" drive all the time, but not 3/8 or 1/2.

That said, Tigerlui531 is mostly correct. This has a very narrow use case, so to speak. IIRC 1/4 screwdriver bits without a retention ring on the back don't stay in very well, and most bits require downward force toward the fastener in order to stay seated. If you are using it solely as a ratchet for sockets, in most cases regarding depth issues and reach, a nano/low profile wrench/socket set like the Astro 78318/78319 would be better suited. Honestly I probably purchased this gearwrench previously to help me hold out for a decent deal on the Astros
One area it would probably be hard to beat in but I haven't tried would be the handling of an actual quarter inch nut or fastener
