  • This deal works out to $15 per month. A nice offer since Mint Mobile typically only offers this sort of promotional pricing on shorter duration plans.
  • Please see the original post for additional details & give the WIKI and additional forum comments a read for helpful discussion.

I believe that any a current or existing Mint Mobile customer can become a new customer any time by activating the deal under a different phone number or email than the existing one. I did it last year. Mint never has a service plan deal for an existing customer because they don't want the existing customer to extend his or her current plan.

Call in to cancel and see if they can offer it to you -- not sure because the lowest they offered me was $160 on 15gb and I didn't ask about unlimited.

Option 2 is to port out and back in. We usually port out to Tello on a $5 plan then switch back as a new customer in a couple of days, but I've done it same day also.
Thank you. I realized that because I use Google Voice, I can just use a different email address and I should be good to go. Since it's an esim, I don't need to worry about my physical address and I can use Paypal.

Does anyone know if this is valid for returning customers? I just cancelled my Mint plan a couple of weeks ago but this is a great deal so willing to go back for it. Wonder if they have a requirement that new customers cannot have had a Mint plan for x number of days or months?

I wonder how long it will take t-mobile to merge Mint plans into t-mobile like they did with Sprint.

They've already hit mint plans in the head with a hammer. They must have seen it as a threat, and probably offered Ryan a deal he couldn't refuse and they've clamped down on pricing and flexibility.

I'm on google Fi right now, but my only hesitation with this is how badly they'll (mint) screw you after the first year, and I absolutely fully expect them to do so.

Sprint customers were grandfathered in on their plans, but people can't make any changes or prices literally double with T-mobile... I think TM is getting greedy...

Bank of America cash rewards has a 50% cash back deal for Mint, but I am not sure if it will apply to this since it has a long disclaimer.
that is not a cash back offer.
Must use link. This is not a cash back offer. Wireless plans only are eligible for the reward, with the minimum being the 3-month plan, currently priced at $15 a month ($45 plus applicable shipping, taxes and fees). New customers only as qualified by MintMobile.com.

As a new customer once I get the esim insalled, I'm guessing they automatically assign you a phone number. Do we get to choose what area code as well as a list of numbers to choose from?

I don't know why they didn't do this for black Friday or Cyber Monday. I ended up going with the Red Pocket deal and now I wish I had waited. I haven't received the Red Pocket Sim yet What to do, what to do?

Maybe they thought they wouldn't need this deal and saw that they were losing business?
I am waiting on my Redpocket also. I guess it's best to start looking 90 days ahead of time

No. You zip code fixes the available area codes. No choosing of numbers is allowed

I think so. If you use CB then you won't get referral reward

I signed for Mint as a new customer on Saturday on the three month promo. Anyone have success with hopping onto a new deal? This is a great deal!
