  • This deal works out to $15 per month. A nice offer since Mint Mobile typically only offers this sort of promotional pricing on shorter duration plans.
  • Please see the original post for additional details & give the WIKI and additional forum comments a read for helpful discussion.

I had Mint for one year until about 6 months ago. Two things made me switch to US Mobile: data prioritization and extra fees significantly increasing the price at renewal.

Data prioritization: I live in a semi-rural area, so the vast majority of the time this wasn't an issue. However, occasionally on weekends when people were home my phone data would slow to a crawl. Where it became untenable was during power outages (including lengthy ones during natural disasters). My phone data was literally useless. I couldn't even check the weather apps. This was my #1 reason for switching to an MVNO that included priority data.

Fees: US Mobile charges you the stated price, inclusive of taxes and fees. Mint's price was much higher than expected due to taxes and what seemed like extraneous fees.

So far I have much preferred US Mobile. Even though I have to use the Verizon network (slower data speeds) in order to get priority data, I haven't had any issues and it's still plenty fast. During the last major power outage I had zero issues with data. I plan to keep them when it comes time to renew.
Not really! There is a $25 "recovery fee" and other fees which might bring the mint deal within a few dollars of the visible one
When you go to this page, it states at the bottom T&C this is only for new customers. If you login to your account and try to find the discounted plan it is non-existent. If you know a workaround please let us know. Thanks.

I have been with visible for a while but lately I don't get good coverage or network so wanted to try this. Does anyone know how this compares to Visible?
I am in same bot, but like the unlimited internet it offers and works good if you are in good coverage area. Mint is fine as well but their taxes are high.

Nope, from the purchase date, not the date that you receive. This info is from the email.
I don't think it's from the purchase date. It just doesn't make sense. It would/has to be from the date you activate the sim/esim in a phone.

Would you mind sharing the email you are referring to?

With this, can I add Mint Mobile eSIM with a New number to my existing ATT IPhone for two different lines?
Also, can a physical sim be added for a 2nd line if Existing ATT line is eSIM? Thanks

It was on the email when they notified you that your order was shipped out. It clearly said in there.

I just ordered three lines of unlimited. It came out to $638 with all taxes and fees. This is a fantastic savings.

Is there a fixed end date for this promotion? Trying to do this as later as i can to activate after my current plan ends

If I get a physical sim, if this something I have to activate right away?
I am trying to save it until March. I currently signed up on a one year plan with another company that doesn't expire for a few months.
You have 45 days, from date of purchase.

How much of an increase should we expect?
It's outlined in the TOS, section 10.1 Recovery Fees

Went through most of the messages here and I still didn't fully understand, do Mint with this deal NOT really allow one to port in (from another carrier)? I wonder why, isn't that a FCC mandate (the WLNP requirement for all carriers)?
Yes, you can port in. They're excluding existing Mint customers. All of their kits are for new customers, i.e., renewals are only via their app/website ($recovery fees).

Regarding the fee, I normally paid $60 for all the fees for 15gb plan annually. Total is $240 every year in January.

I have two Amex cards that both have the mint offer. Can I take advantage by splitting the payment?

Thanks for sharing. I'm at the Mint checkout page but haven't seen any options for port in a number (from Tello). Wondering if that only shows up after payment.
