About this Book:
  • Is There Anybody Out There? turns our collective gaze skyward: What's the likelihood of life on other planets? Or that aliens have already made the trip to visit us? How would they get here? Why do we want to find them? And what does it mean if we do (or don't)? Teaching readers to challenge their gut assumptions and open their minds to new possibilities by using critical thinking and the scientific method, journalist Laura Krantz investigates the science, culture, and philosophy of a universe in which we're not alone—and why the idea of alien life has abducted our imaginations.

With there being as far as we know an infinite amount of galaxies, solar systems with planets and stars within.

Of course there's life out there. Humans have not reached the level of enlightenment to understand or make this travel for such a discovery.

The scary part is that humans have fear, morals, pain and so on. When we discover something out there, will it know harming another being is wrong? Will it understand pain or have the capacity for empathy?

Short of there being a star wars out there, it's likely better we remain alone.

Current Physics doesn't really support any aliens from reaching us, much less of us reaching them. This is simple GR. However, the spart money is on there being an abundance of aliens civilizations because Physics does say that we are not special, we are just an average civilization living on an average planet in an average solar system in an average galaxy..

This is why it's been a mistake to send our coordinates on space missions including Voyager and beaming signals out, it's all assuming that other life won't be hostile and that technological advancement/scientific intelligence is mutually exclusive with barbarity or simply even account for rogue actors within those civilizations whom we couldn't imagine matching on a battlefield.

Okay, it's all just a shart in the void.
