I see Hot Wheels at $1 each pretty much all year round. So not a deal unless you just want the randomness

Target still has 20 for 16 bucks. That's a deal
Walmart had 50 for 60 cars. That's a deal.

I'd rather pick the ones I would actually want for $1/each. I bought a set for my son around 10 years ago, and it had duplicates in it. 3 Batmobiles and 2 of some other type of car.

I'm in Illinois. Since COVID I have paid $1.25 or more per car, even at Walmart.
