Just FYI in case any haters come in, the recent firmware update added the ability to stream select games directly from the cloud if you have PS+ Premium and also fixed Remote Play streaming issues. It feels borderline native at almost all times now, even with my PS5 connected to WiFi. Well worth the $150 price!

Bigger screen, haptic feedback, DualSense features, cloud streaming. A quick google would tell you this.

The fact that you can play Xbox and Steam is irrelevant. This device is a dedicated device to remote play your PlayStation 5. It's very simple. Is everything you own multi-use? Do you use your shower towels to wipe your ass? Your hand soap to clean your hair?

Portal doesn't support 6E. It's an WiFi 5 device. If you're going to run your PS5 wireless, it's recommended to split your wifi and move as many devices as you can to the 2.4ghz band to reduce congestion in the 5ghz spectrum.

I still don't really understand the point of this, can't we accomplish everything this can accomplish on our cell phone with the PS app? And then just get a cell phone Bluetooth controller that holds our phone for much cheaper? I'm interested in the device, but I just can't see the use case.

It took awhile but finally got my pricematch credit email for $53 for the portal. Will pick it up tomm morning! It seems some reps are available. Order at full price. Give them the order #, give them the Brandsmart url and they should be able to refund the difference. I'd prefer it be before the order but beggars can't be choosers!

It does everything your phone does with the PS app, but better. Not that hard to understand

If you are streaming cloud games from PS+ then yes. If you are Remote Playing your PS5 then obviously not because your Ps5 is now playing a game and can't watch Netflix at the same time

Only real advantage is the bigger screen (I think), simpler interface, dualsense capabilities, and Cloud streaming. For $150 I would say it's worth it if you have a large library on PS5

For someone with kids this absolutely solves a real problem lol my kids dominate the TV with kid shows almost all the time, so playing ps5 on the TV is a thing of the past, but now I can enjoy it on the couch while the kids watch their shows. For parents it's definitely amazing

Haha. I'm pretty much in the same boat. Streaming so far has been really solid except when my ISP breaks something. Also had good performance with my PS5 on wifi. Originally the experience was rough but they def did solid on the new updates.
