Just FYI in case any haters come in, the recent firmware update added the ability to stream select games directly from the cloud if you have PS+ Premium and also fixed Remote Play streaming issues. It feels borderline native at almost all times now, even with my PS5 connected to WiFi. Well worth the $150 price!

Bigger screen, haptic feedback, DualSense features, cloud streaming. A quick google would tell you this.

The fact that you can play Xbox and Steam is irrelevant. This device is a dedicated device to remote play your PlayStation 5. It's very simple. Is everything you own multi-use? Do you use your shower towels to wipe your ass? Your hand soap to clean your hair?

For those wondering, Best Buy should price match.

I tried that and it just immediately offer me a full refund and to cancel the order. No price match
That's odd because right on the price match page it even says the following:

If you have already received or picked up your order, you can check price match availability on your Order Details page by clicking the See details link

Still super laggy on WiFi 6E mesh. Great screen and controllers tho!
I haven't had any problems. Is your PS5 on hardline? Mine is, and that seems to give better results.

If my shower towels cost $200 I would probably use them to wipe my ass to get the most bang for my buck.

Showing OOS on Brandsmart for me. BestBuy wouldn't price match that, right?

There are plenty of controllers that hold cell phones, and even mounts for Xbox controllers to hold your cell phone. Also, there are plenty of cell phones bigger, such as the folding phones. Regardless, even if it's a smaller screen, is it really worth $150 to pay for a and extra device that is bulky just to stream something you already have and be limited to a singular platform?

Also, the PSP can stream still.
I don't own the Portal, but to be fair in my experiences the mounts for Xbox/PS5 controllers are clumsy to use. The weight distribution is just off, and I don't even have a large phone. The Backbone, on the other hand, I wholeheartedly recommend. Great quality and little to no issues. Definitely something to purchase on sale though. If I didn't already own a Backbone, I can understand the appeal of spending the extra $50 on the Portal. $200 is insane. $150 is closer to the competition. If this ever hits $100 then I'd say there's an argument in favor of it.

Some of ya'll are spending a lot of time trying to talk people out of spending their own money. I got my Portal yesterday and it's already worth it to me. $200 ain't that big of a deal. If it is, maybe spend some time updating your resume rather than arguing on the internet.

Wondering about this.. Or investing in a Rog Alley..?I'm not a PC Gamer. My main gaming system is a PS5, but curious as this alternative came up in a recent discussion today with some friends.

So this is a super fatman/getting old question but how does it feel holding it for long play sessions while lying in bed? The steam deck gets heavy and same for the og switch, I usually rest it on my stomach lol. Also to add I hurt my wrist snowboarding and play sessions over 1hr starts bring back pain and fatigue to my wrist.

The argument is about the use case, not necessarily the money. If you can't afford to spend $150 on a luxury device that does only one thing well then just don't buy it instead of crying on the internet.

For the gaming experts here.
I dont have PlayStation+ subscription, so the new update is not for my use case. However how is the streaming quality from PlayStation 5 after update? I was deferring buying this because I heard bad reviews for streaming over WiFi.
