Wonder why this thread is getting so much traction. Isn't this a pretty standard sale price for a V10 refurb? In fact, it was posted back in March for the same price with no traction on SD. Something smells fishy... hmmmm

I have the v11 (refurb from Dyson). There isn't a vast difference between them so either is fine. The only difference I am aware of the V11 has the digital motorhead which is useful if you use it on carpets (it automatically adjusts the speed and suction). My v11 did not have fluffy, so I bought a refurb and new pipe for like $65 (because easier to change and not bend over). I thought the fluffy was just bull but no it picks up everything on hardwood even larger items which the digital motorhead did not.

So my reco is the motorhead for carpets and the fluffy for hardwood.

The issue w/ Dyson now is you simply can't get parts, they are out of stock forever. So for the motorhead the rollers were wearing, can't buy--always out of stock. I bought a 3 pack from China for $20 and they work great.

This is the SAME game that Shark plays now, you can't repair it never any parts in stock. So I won't buy ever again. For Dyson UNLESS you buy the slim (which uses totally different accessories) for many generations the tools can be had refurb or on ebay for cheap.

Edit: I asked them to send me a return label to Hotmail, and I got it within seconds.

Mine arrived DOA, and returning the item has been a hassle. Dyson confirmed several times that they had sent me a return label, but either my Gmail was permanently blocking their emails, or they were lying that they had sent me the return label.

I bought this on black friday and received it earlier this week. It looked brand new and works great so far. Buying it from Ebay gives includes the 2 year warranty.

Correct. The V10 has a 25v battery vs the 21v battery the V8 has. You can buy a power tool adapter for the V10, but because power tool batteries are 21v you'll always run it at reduced suction. No max mode.

I suggest V11, it is $79 more but you get double the time because of the bigger battery capacity as well as better suction. They don't mention that much but on the same modes Low, Medium, Max V11 has not only better suction but more importantly almost doubles the battery time in many scenarios. The V11's automatic power adjustment is also so convenient when you are going from hardwood floor to rugs or other surfaces it changes the suction power automatically, V10 does not offer this function. We had V11 for years and very happy with it. The only issue we had over 8 years was the trigger got bad after 4-5 years and replacing it was easy and fairly cheap which we bought from Amazon. I also had chance to compare it with their newest models like v12 and v15 and to be honest did not feel much difference to justify the price jump. On the other hand my mom has some issues with her wrist so she prefers lighter vacuums so she went with V10 and V8. So if you have no concern of some extra weight and not tight on budget then definitely go for V11.

eBay provides that thru SquareTrade an Allstate company. When you look below the 'Buy it now' button section you will see that. I believe 6 month Dyson provides that Square Trade takes it extending it to 2 years. I purchased a refurbished from Dyson website and when i seen eBays extended warranty offer I returned to Dyson website and purchased from eBay.
