I know people are going to jump in with their hate toward expensive colognes, but this is the best price I've ever seen for Aventus. We get it, you prefer $12 Amazon scents, and that's perfectly fine, but just as some people buy designer clothes when $3 boxers will do the trick, some people enjoy more expensive scents. Both are fine, stop projecting.
For CDNIM, I have heard PP (Pure Parfum) or LE (Limited Edition) to be better than EDP. Haven't tried either (use Afnan SNOI), just wanted to share what I have read online.
I don't know if you were referring to the fragrance smell only, but perfume/parfum has stronger concentration of oil than EDP.
For those not in the know, the order from strongest concentration to lowest is,
Perfume Oil or Attar: Often oil-based rather than alcohol-based, these can have concentrations from 15-30% or even higher. They are known for their longevity, often lasting 6-24 hours or more due to the absence of alcohol which evaporates quickly.
Parfum (or Extrait de Parfum): This is the highest concentration, typically between 20-40% fragrance oils. It offers the longest wear time, often up to 8-12 hours or more, and is usually the most expensive.
Eau de Parfum (EDP): Contains 15-20% fragrance oils, making it stronger than Eau de Toilette. It can last from 4-8 hours.
Eau de Toilette (EDT): With a concentration range of 5-15%, this is one of the most common types of fragrance. It lasts around 3-6 hours.
Eau de Cologne(EDC): Has a concentration of 2-5% fragrance oil. It's known for its fresh, citrus notes and generally lasts for about 2-3 hours.
You can sometimes get the same fragrance in different strengths. This one in particular is Parfum. When the fragrance comes in different strengths of oil EDP vs EDT which is typical, it can change the smell a bit. This one is Parfum which is the strongest and longest lasting.
I'm just trying to help educate some people that don't know about these things. Hope it can help you on your scent smelling buying adventure.

Agreed! Aren't you the same one who added $7 boxer brief deal from Duluth Trading Company few days ago? A bit unfair to someone who gets impressed by you based upon Aventus only to discover a Duluth Trading Company boxer brief not a Versace

The prices for some of the Armaf stuff is so hit or miss at times. As their quality of the EDT fell off(per others). Thank God that I have mine from 5 years ago, performs like a beast.
but Afnan SNOI is my go to, and grabbed a backup bottle a year or so ago.

Any recommendation for a budget friendly woody tone ?
This is a copy of a email I received from Creed when I had a problem from my Costco purchase in Sept. 2024

Armaf has their club de nuit intense man usually around $30.
It is a knockoff of this cologne.
Most people say it is exactly like it and also lasts longer.
I have it and love it
Thanks! Any recommendation where to get it from? How about fragrancenet.com?
I bought this last year when it was on a big sale. Smells great but seemed underwhelming in strength. Really strange thing, after a couple months it seemed to suddenly get better. Unsure if air getting into the bottle had caused some sort of oxidizing with the oils to help?
Now if I spray it 3 times, and an careful to let it air out on my skin without touching it until dry, it lasts beyond 1 day.
Strange, but seems to need time to get better.
I've never gotten so many compliments on the smell of a cologne until wearing this. People really really like it, including me hah.
This is a great deal but folks should search previous posts about buying fragrances from Costco. I'm definitely considered a Costco diehard customer but there are a lot of rumors and anecdotes about counterfeit fragrances being sold online. Costco does not commit to the validity of the fragrance and Creed does not certify Costco as an authorized retailer.
I received fake Sisley products from Costco before, I was lured to buy it because the price was 40% less than Neiman Marcus but never again!
