Price is nutz on this. Only complaint is the single battery.
5 legit power tools, charger and 4Ah battery, plus the flashlight for $250? Yeah, nutz. Even better with the 20% off coupon with Lowe's CC you can find online.
And, requires no stupid buy and return mess. Don't need this, but it's very tempting just to have some tools to use for those super nasty jobs that I don't care if they get messed up.

Good price for a brushless set of tools. Add a 2nd battery, 2Ah, and it's only $269.
The Ryobi 6-tool set (brushed) is $199 which includes 2 batteries. Besides the price difference, Ryobi makes a ton of tools, over 300, that work on their battery platform.
How hard is it to mod other batteries in to kobalt lineup? Still not sure if Lowe's is going to axe the brand eventually with craftsman being the dominant displays as of late in store
Great deal for those looking to get into an ecosystem. My recommendation for the extra tools would be the oscillating multi-tool and the impact driver.

I don't know how to mod batteries. However, Kobalt is Lowe's own store brand, and their margins are highest on it. They wouldn't end it. Similar to how Home Depot makes Husky and HDX. Lowe's just has an exclusivity agreement with Craftsman, similar to Home Depot and Milwaukee.
If someone wanted to, you can find battery adapters on eBay or Esty. I'm in the Kobalt ecosystem so I have plenty of batteries. I just wish they made more tools like Ryobi. But I got a battery adapter for under $20 and use it with a Craftsman caulk gun. No issues.

Is the 20% off with Lowe's CC only for people opening a new Lowe's CC? I've had their credit card forever and can't find this 20% off. I also used to buy 20% off coupons on eBay and use them for the purchase for up to $200 off coupons - but I can't even seem to find those, and the ones I can find say they excluding any discounted items, as well as those that say "New Lower Price"…
Am I missing anything here, or can I only get the normal 5% off using my Lowe's charge card?

Which impact driver? They don't make it easy to select your 2 tools for sure, the descriptions are truncated and you have to select each one individually to add to your bundle and then look at your bundle again to see the full description of what you added. Lowes website has always been a mess.
hi on black friday lowes gave away a buckek in there was a battery for this set so $249 for the set/ no brainer also in store as 1 on the 2 free tools you can get the big tool box on wheels that way you put your new tools kobalt in box and 3 more points 1-- fast charg --2--brushles--3--24v--yes this is a great deal.
I purchased this set when it was the same price in October. (Idk if the deal ever ended) Solid quality and the set has worked well for me so far. Would definitely recommend.
I also snagged 2ah and 4 ah batteries with the Kobalt 24v battery deal they've had going on.

Competes with Ridgid/Hercules.
Not as good as Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee
