They have a good app but dumb restrictions. No GC like you said plus also only one deal at a time which is normally fine until you want to use your bonus points and a deal (people have families) and you can't even do that.

The store allowed purchase by credit card. There was an inclusion and exclusion list right at the location where the cards were. Amazon was listed as excluded so didn't try to get that. YMMV if the system allows Amazon.

I usually order at the kiosk in-store and enter my 4 digit code there, and pay with a credit card, again, at the kiosk. Would I be able to pay with a gift card that way?

In case it helps anyone:
I went to several DG, no employees had an any idea about the sale or inclusions/exclusions. No posted signs at any location. I attempted Steam and Amazon at the register with no luck. Employees got pretty mad saying if I am not buying those gift cards they're now trash because she scanned them.
I apologized and asked if they would check more prices and they refused.

you can also delete the app and reinstall it, that resets the timer, even on the same account.

Bought several hundred dollars worth of gift cards in Chicago. Credit card was allowed but I did have to step aside at some point and call my credit card company because one of the transactions was declined for fraud.
The $25 Starbucks gift cards are shown in the ad for 15% off. They are 15% off but the variable load ones are also 15% off. Just wanted to put that out there in case your store was out of the $25 Starbucks cards. The rest I purchased were variable load and were all 15% off. The ones I purchased are as follows.
Wendy's, McDonald's, Ulta, Burger King, AMC
