Dont let the price fool you, at this price point - getting semi-weighted keys is a steal & makes a huge difference.
Also comes with ableton lite - great DAW software for all your composing, mash-ups, dj, etc.

I don't which is why I've been using Maschine and AbletonPush for years. You can easily pick up a Push 2 for or Maschine mk2 $200.
If you know how to play piano, this MAudio is a great portable controller (but you may prefer a 49 or 61 key instead), better than the Artiria imo, especially if you use Ableton (super easy to learn, very intuitive program). The pads and encoders are more akin to Live's interface so it should be easier to develop a workflow. Semi weighted is super nice.
And Ableton Live Lite can get you very far if you're in a budget.. it'll force you to bounce down tracks and render audio bc you only have 8 channels (I believe).
If I were starting production all over, I'd get:
1) Ableton Push (most likely over Maschine even though I prefer Maschine's controller workflow over Push's), and
2) Probably Omnisphere and learn the $h¡± out of it..study it and become a master because it can pretty much craft anything you need. Serum or Pigments could possibly do the same also (wave table synthesis). Serum you can rent to own through Splice. Don't fall into the "latest and greatest VST" trap... I've seen production tutorials of guys creating incredible sounds with old versions of Massive bc they know it like back of their hand.
