99% of my media consumption is streaming anime from my plex library on my DS920 NAS, mostly with .ASS subtitles and my LG c3 and samsung s90c cannot direct play .ASS subtitles, neither could my old roku nor 2nd gen firetv 4k. it would transcode and buffer and gets pretty annoying. This ONN box plays my HEVC anime with .ASS subtitles no problem. tested with AV1, OPUS, HDR and various encodes, all direct plays with no buffering. In the few days i had it, the UI did crash on me once and i had to unplug the power and plug it back in though, other than that its been great.

Haven't had auto-reboots or long lags as I did with the prior Onn. And it's faster than both CC and Onn 2023 with no lag at any point since I got it.
Pro tip: Look into IPTV and Stremio+Debrid. It's a great device for both.
It's at least fast as my Roku Ultra and the Apple TV 4K neither of which has also never lagged. In 3 years. Both are expensive

I got a new 2024 Roku ultra and it is missing many profiles from Plex. My older Ultra LT (Walmart sale edition) has more profiles than the 2024 Roku Ultra. so weird.
