Great deal on the Mountain Max with incredible build quality, do note there have been complaints about the software but over the past ~2 months there are reports that many issues were solved. I do fear that this price drop represents a possible liquidation of the company as there is no way they are making any profit on the sale of these, the materials definitely come close to the price they're selling this at (multiple screens and full metal construction).

Some major pain points for people:
- Software crashes randomly
- Software is limited in functionality for very fine control
- Software is slow
- Apparent issues with chroma connect (for connecting to rgb with razer)
- Poor customer support
- In terms of build quality, the only main complaint is that some keys have poor stabilization in older models.
- The button screens seem a little on the dimmer side compared to the main screen.
Some pros:
- The dial screen seems to be an actual smartwatch screen.
- Cherry switches, and hot swappable.
- Ability to swap the side of the numpad.
- Has local memory.
For the MSRP this is an absolute no go, for the previous sale prices of ~80/120 USD its iffy. For $49, even if you don't use the software and find it has issues this is an extremely well built keyboard and imo totally worth a gamble.
not that i need another Keyboard, have a corsair K95 Platinum XT, and Logitech G915 that i dont use now. Hate iCue so stopped using the K95, got the G915 and cant stand the low profile keys.
Love my Drop CTRL though
Updated software and kb firmware makes it alot better.
Personally I got in on the $10 60-key version and the $5 macro pad. The devices are rock solid and work very well. I didn't even install software.
Had been waiting for the max keyboard to go on sale and this is the perfect timing. In for a cherry brown (my fav).
Got the gun metal version and will be swapping to white/grey PBT keys.
