This is a great speaker but the battery life is not good. I may get 4-5 hours of play time on a full charge. It is definitely not 12 hours as stated in the specs. Got it from Walmart last year on BF deal for the same price.

I got this last year and I don't regret it. Used it on the 4th of July. I wore it using the shoulder strap and carried some things down river with friends and it sounded great outside all afternoon till sunset.

I bought this last year for around the same price. Great speaker at this price point I have no complaints and has a decent battery life. Doesn't sound as good as the JBL version but you're paying a quarter of the price.

I have the soundcore speaker. It's great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an aux input but if that doesn't matter, it's loud, bassy and the battery lasts long

I had the motion boom, that's similar to that other motion select pro, never had the other speaker. But from experience, I had a more exciting, cleaner sound experience with the barrel, especially outdoors than the motion boom. One thing that maybe a concern is the size difference. But I'd choose the barrel for many reasons, and even easier choice at that price.
