How good of deal is this? My wife just got a Tesla yesterday so I'll be needing one. I have 3 free months of supercharging so could wait if a better deal might come along…

Why haven't you posted months ago? Because of you, I overpaid by $30.

He saved all the money on Slickdeals and bought a Tesla. What's your accomplishment, madam?

Think about what you said....If it was this price months ago, you must have tried very hard not to find at this price.

You're doing your math wrong. My gas savings cover my monthly payments, so I'm practically driving a rocket for $0. Seems like the ultimate slickdeal to me. 😎

Did you buy a charger? Did you have a charger installed? Did your insurance go up? Hopefully you bought within the last 12 months or you severely overpaid. Tires wear out really quick and are expensive. There are many factors that can negate gas savings.

This is a good deal; I bought mine from Tesla at $450. However, the $30 difference can easily be negated by the installation costs if you don't shop there (the installation is the bigger cost item so it should come first).

You'll find having the charger at home to be very convenient. I think this is probably the best benefit of owning an EV.

I think you're talking about the wall connector, as the actual charger is inside the car. I already mentioned I overpaid on the wall connector by $30, so I guess my gas savings didn't kick in until the 2nd half of the first month.

I installed it myself, but even if I'd hired someone, my savings would've started by the 3rd month.

Insurance stayed the same, and I got 0% APR, so no extra financing costs.

Tires wear out on every vehicle, but if you're saying they wear out faster because of acceleration, that's on the driver—just use Chill Mode, and problem solved.

I'm basically driving a brand-new rocket for the same monthly cost (or less) than I was spending on my old gas car. Seems like a win to me.
