another dump question, do i have to use up the battery first before the gas kick-in? or I can just use gas and save the battery in case I am running out of gas for a long road trip?
There is a switch to manually choose fuel source if you want. But your theoretical scenario makes no sense.

Which Gas car gives 60 mpg on Highway.
New Generation Prius. Toyota's latest GEN hybrid tech is pretty amazing.

Don't get a escape. The engines are having tons of problems. There is a reason they dropped the price.
the hybrids have an entirely different drivetrain.

Why would you buy a Tesla when there are other better EVs around?

Heck even BYD from China makes better EVs at this point.

Buying EVs is an absolute no brainer but if you own a Tesla then take off your blinders and go to a few dealerships to drive other vehicles too. Compare the features, drivability, mileage (which translates to efficiency of the battery tech), comfort and quality.

Please stay away from those VINFAST turds.

Any financing deals from Ford Credit on these as well? I'll have to research more but I believe these are only FWD?
Unfortunately, no AWD, a non starter for me.

Seems like the dealer near me has tons of them(2024). Almost all are "stripped", but there are a few loaded, about 6-7 k more, still cheap. I have to believe these didn't sell well, the fwd only was really a big problem, too bad, and the Msrp was too high. 2025 is the last year for the escape. I had a cmax energi, same setup with the battery in back and it was horrible in snow. If that's not a problem this is a great deal. Ford must have lost a fortune on these.

People need to understand how the federal rebate works as well.
Can elaborate a bit more on this? Do you mean there is a risk to get the clean vehicles rebates from the Federal Government?

You only get it if you make under a certain amount I think $150k single and double that if married. You also only get it if you owe money to the IRS at the end of the tax year if I'm not mistaken.

Wish these had a bigger battery, like for 50-60 miles. I have a 2019 Fusion Energi that Ford is going to buy back because they had a defective battery recall and don't want to make new parts. The buyback seems to be fair.
I wish it were $10K less, while we're wishing πŸ•ΊπŸ½

Is it going to be better than a 2024 CX 5, carbon edition?

If yes, is it worth trading in the CX 5 for this one?
