Personally, disagree and thought Part 2 was excellent. Having said that, Part 1 is a masterpiece and completely stands on its own. It's a game that absolutely did not need a sequel. Feel free to play without concern that you're getting a partial experience.

Where's part 2 first?

Not putting in money to get half the experience (or a third really).
Part 2 falls off a cliff…

Yes, if you liked the TV series then you will absolutely love the game! The series followed the story line of the game very closely.

I can't wait for season 2 of the series.

Passed it on the ps3, passed it on the ps4. Looks like my PC will be joining the list with this slick deal.

Make sure you have a 12GB VRAM video card when you buy this game. Like an increasing number of games designed with the modern consoles in mind, 8GB cards to not do well with this game. Friends don't let friends buy 4060 8GB cards in 2024. They are planned obsolescence by Nvidia/AMD to get you to upgrade sooner.
Game is beautiful maxed out. It's more a movie where you control the characters once in a while. It's not open world by any stretch. It has a difficulty ramp upward at the end.

Part 1 is the full original TLOU. They added part 1 to the title later with the remake to match the sequel naming. It's definitely not half an experience.

The show got a pretty good following and I am curious to see how many people will revolt after the first episode of season 2. If they were smart, they would open the show in Seatle and then spinkle in the scenes from earlier events at the start of each episode to hopefully get people invested in the show before ticking them off.

Part 1 is still the best. Part 2 has better gameplay but it has highly questionable story choices. Without revealing spoilers to anyone who hasn't played part 2, it has highly disappointing story choices by bringing insufferable characters to the forefront.
