I've had one for 2 years and it's still working fine. With that said I'd say for $200-$250 it's a decent machine, but it's MSRP is way off the mark. It makes just an okay cup of espresso and the milk frother... works.

My in laws have a Jura and the same coffee beans out of that machine taste closer to what you'd get at a coffee shop, whereas this machine just makes it easy to make an acceptable latte at home. I wouldn't buy it again if it ever breaks, but I bought it at $300 to replace a kuerig and don't regret it.

Apparently not a good product, at least based on this single Reddit (i.e. real) review: https://www.reddit.com/r/superaut..._years_of/

I have the exact same machine and it's pretty good. It grands the coffee beans and makes a pretty good cup of espresso. It also froths the milk as well. With this price, it's way better than any kcup or nespresso. I save so much money by not buying coffee. I can make latte as well as store bought. I use it almost daily and I have it for more than a year. I guess it pays for itself already. Only problem is that you need to make sure the little piece of the metal that froths the milk because milk gunk build up in there. You will need to flush it after every use.

Isn't a used Jura still costs upwards of $800-$1k?

Ive been really happy with mine, had it a year. Purchased it for $281 last November. Its worked great and would recommend to anyone who likes espresso/ starbucks drinks.

I did have an issue with the cleaning cycle not finishing but luckily i hasnt happened again.

It is recommended to not use oily beans as the grinder can gum up and there is no way to clean it

10/10 would buy again.

You can't clean the grinder? That is awful design.

Yeah, Im mostly just pointing out that there is definitely room for improvement in flavor from what this machine makes. It makes less strong tasting espresso and its harder to get smooth frothed milk. This machine is more of a 'I couldnt make espresso/lattes before and now I can' than a 'Im replacing my coffee shop visits with home brewed'.

Like I said, at this price its decent. I would definitely recommend it over a similarly priced manual espresso machine just for the convenience. Its MSRP is $629 which at that price it would be a hard pass IMO.

Reviews like this are why I'll probably never move to an automatic machine. The more supposed features you build in, the more failure points, and parts will likely be expensive and/or impossible to find.

Some of the deals over the years have been tempting, but I keep on rocking the Starbucks Barista (Saeco Via Venizia) I got on a FW deal ages ago. Simple mechanical system that just won't die.

I've had 8 or 9 auto espresso machines over the years and none of them come close to a real espresso. They're great for convenience, but they can't walk the fine line of grinding fine enough to get the extraction around 30s. You either get a 10s extraction or a plugged puck and you can only get the latter if you use a separate grinder.

I like my Jura superauto. Over the years I replaced couple of them and not because they broke but because I wanted certain fetures that were not available at previous models (for example, bluetooth and a phone App or standby and reheat mode). The Juras are quite reliable and their customer service was fantastic until late.

All I am saying is for $239 this may be an OK deal, but don't expect a top-level performance or reliability. If you want a reliable super-automatic, you will need more developed brands like Jura, Saeco, Delonghi, but then these will cost you a lot more.

Or as others recommend, stay semi-automatic. Takes a bit of time and practice but the hardware is much simpler and somewhat more reliable. By the way, if going semi-auto rule, you need to invest into proper grinder which would still cost you a lot more than this machine.

I have this as well. Would never pay MSRP for it, but for this price I absolutely would buy it. It makes solid espresso and if you are coming from a ninja or Keurig like we were out will blow you away. You have to be sure to keep up on the cleaning (weekly) but i actually enjoy my morning coffee now so it's definitely worth it. It's does not compete with the $1200 machines but I would say it gets you 75-80% of the way there. And for $1000 less that's a no brainer for me.

I did have an issue with it about 8 months in. Hot water was leaking out the front when it brewed but I sent a video into the warranty department and they sent me a new machine. No issues with the new one yet.

Ive had this about 8 months and As others have said, wouldn't pay full price but this price point is what I bought it for and I'm happy. Cant get the milk frothed the way I want and the espresso is decent, not phenomenal. You do get a nice crema too

I agree, I loved it as well so much that I bought one each for my siblings over a year ago. Unfortunately I paid close to $300+ for another version of this without the brother/steam wand.

Has anyone owned this and a Dehlonghi? Mine died a few months ago after 8 years and I have been really wanting a new one. For the $1k I spent on the old one though I am weary. If I could get decent coffee and 4 or 5 years for $200 I would be happy. I think the thing about all the superautomatics is they will break. They are not like a quality manual machine that can run for 20 years.
