If you just need a basic no thrills laptop then this seems like a very good deal. You can't upgrade memory and the screen isn't great. But the CPU and 8GB is good enough generally. Should meet 80% of peoples typical needs really e.g. web surfing, light Office use & Minecraft.
I have a setup similar to this with i3-N305 and 8GB ram but the 2-n-1 variant of an Acer Aspire Spin 3 with 1920*1200.
I could do web browsing with half a dozen tabs while editing a couple of MS Word documents and reading a few PDF files.
I also use VSCode to program in Python, which doesn't require compilation. Compiling C/C++ code is slow but considering 8 cores/8 threads at 3.xGHz it beats earlier i7 6Gen laptop processors with only up to 4 threads.
I was able to play Minecraft with 26 chunks default and it was good. Only occasionally I feel a stutter.
I could play Guacamelee 2, which is a side scroller beat-m-up metrovania game that I couldn't play with earlier generation integrated videos, on battery. Very slight lag with full screen high setting.
I've also played earlier strategy games with no problem.
