i bought a sony bluetooth speaker from them several months ago, it arrived in great shape and has been great

I have learned to be very suspicious of the term "Open Box." Usually a customer return or a demo unit. Either way, potentially visibly worn. At least with "Refurbished," they may give it a shpritz with Lysol or a damp rag.

In my experience with nearly a dozen Sony items from this seller, they've always been in perfect condition just missing the box (and no manufacturer warranty). I personally couldn't tell a difference between their open box and refurbished, I think it's mostly a distinction for eBay since refurbished has to include the 2-yr warranty.

In my experience their products have gone downhill. The WH1000XM5 I got from them had multiple issues and their extended warranty (CPS) makes you pay shipping both ways.

Avoid this seller.
