About this Movie Screening:
- On Monday, December 16, at select AMC Theater locations, Angel Studios invites you to attend an early, free screening of Homestead. Fans of the film have Paid it Forward so that you can see this movie for free at select AMC Theatre locations. A nuclear bomb is detonated in Los Angeles, and the nation devolves into unprecedented chaos. Ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson and his family escape to The Homestead, an eccentric prepper's fortress nestled in the mountains. As violent threats and apocalyptic conditions creep toward their borders, the residents of The Homestead are left to wonder: how long can a group of people resist both the dangers of human nature and the bloodshed at their doorstep?

No one wanted to go with me or could go with me so I'm going by myself. At least I'll have the seat to let my left and right empty
it got really slow in the middle and i fell asleep a bit
not sure what you mean by "agenda" b/c the only agenda i can see this being is to promote people to buy mountain house and collect guns and own land....hardly an agenda
it did feel a bit more like a hallmark tv movie
the whole scene with the kid and the girl getting closer was cringey
It makes sense that it felt like a TV movie, since this was basically the pilot episode of a new series. My screen "sold" over 35 seats, and only about a dozen showed up.

At least partially agree with most of the prior comments. It was OK. Parts were entertaining/interesting. Overall it felt slow, with a lot of unnecessary message/symbolism.
Typical Angel Studios "Pay it Forward" plea at the end trying to get you to buy other people tickets. Which ..looking at how many seats were empty, likely just pads the pockets of the theater and production company rather than spreading the "message"
Obviously glorifying certain lifestyles/mantras/beliefs. It wasn't nonstop but it was a lot.
It's the hook for the series which is already filmed/available exclusively from them for a subscription. If it were free I might check out another episode or two, but definitely not remotely tempted to pay for it.
YMMV. Some probably love it (likely those who fully agree with the ideology of the producers)
