no atmos? on a gimmicky single sound bar? people need to stop falling for gimmicks when sound bars cell phones and other single speaker type system BOAST atmos, dolby surround dts etc etc.
No one is hearing true atmos or even anything.
You want atmos or true multi channel 5.1 and more then you build a real one. properly placed speakers in locations.
soundbars who advertise 5.1, 7.1 etc AND atmos but off a single bar is laughable. thats like getting 5-7 speakers, just put them in a pile together, and slap a label on it.

That's not true at all. You can get Atmos from a sound bar without surround. Upwards firing speakers bounce the signal at you to create height. Look into the Vizio Elevate and Sonos Arc.

Bounce off what? I've got a slanted, vaulted ceiling. Are you telling me I will get Atmos like any theater if they say it provides it? Keep dreaming dude.
The center channel on the JBLs are reallllly weak. Subwoofer is way too powerful (which is a plus for some).
If you have dialog hearing issues, avoid JBL
