Citi currently has an offer for a $40 credit on $65+ spent for wireless plan charges at AT&T.
I have the offer on 4 different cards.
You can prepay up to $300. I'm set up for autopay on a debit card (for the $10/line discount) but you can make manual payments with a credit card. I always make sure that there are a few $ left for autopay (if you prepay before your bill is due just make sure you stay below your anticipated bill amount).
I've done these deals before with Citi and chase cards and they have always worked for my existing plan (fine print says get a new wireless plan and pay at least $65 to get $40 back). I made the payments a couple of days ago and while I don't see the credit posted yet, the offer does show as redeemed. Edit: the credit has now posted to my accounts.

Looks like from their original post, the OP acknowledges it has worked on existing even when the fine print says new. I am giving it a try.

Correct, these offers have always worked for me on an existing wireless account as long as the minimum spend is met. I have even been able to redeem ATT Fiber offers for payments on my wireless account but I don't remember if that was with Citi, Chase, or Amex. There was one fiber offers that didn't work with wireless. There is not much to lose though, you can try it and worst case is you don't get points/miles/cash back on the card you would have otherwise used to make your payment.

Not on my card but I had it a couple of years ago. No really good offers on my Citi card these days.

Yes, it has always worked for me in the past for AT&T Fiber, existing accounts. Same sort of offer also has worked with other places such as Chase, Amex, US Bank, etc.

I just checked my Citi accounts again and see that the credit shows up now with transaction date of 12/9. I made the payments on 12/7.

Gave it a try on my att fiber account prepaid $70 charge, charge was posted on 15th but don't see a credit on my citi card yet (I added promo to my card).

Edit: $40 credit just posted on 19th, woo!

There is a separate version of this offer triggered by a U-verse charge, that's what you're looking for. Careful with what your charge shows up as, as when bundled AT&T cell phone service can show as U-verse. All iterations of this offer has always worked on existing accounts, there is no way to tell from the charge if new or existing account.

Dear appears to be back, I have $50 off $65 on two of my Citi cards.

I need two burner lines for an upcoming trip. How does this work, can I just sign up for two post-paid AT&T lines, and then make 2x $65 advance payments? How does canceling work, and are there early term fees?
