I just wanted to comment on this and let everyone know that I have the 80v line of greenworks tools and absolutely love them, with the exception of this trimmer. It is the worst. Poorly designed. Pain in the butt to change string. Heavy and weird to hold. I hate it. I never mentioned my hate for it but my employees starting coming to me with similar complaints so we use a different trimmer even though all of our other tools are greenworks.
I also have a 80V lawn mower, backpack blower, and 2 stage snow blower. Love them all, but this string trimmer sucks. Your review is spot on. The top is super heavy because of the battery, the handle placement is bad too. The string keeps coming off and it's impossible to take the cover off without a screws driver and impossible to wind it back up. Do not recommend this Greenworks product.

The one you bought has a smaller cutting radius and less power.

Is there another Greenworks 80V trimmer you could recommend?

I switched out the head and that's helped out tremendously. Obviously still top heavy but can't do anything about it. Love my greenworks 80v lineup!!

Note to self; Must resist another 2.0 amp battery. You've already got plenty of them and a better trimmer. This one won't ever get used, even left at an alternative site.

---
Good for the battery alone if you need one.
I've got at least 7, 2-2.5 amp batteries and don't need another.

My 80v trimmer is worthless since the head wore out, as they all do rubbing on the ground, and Greenworks doesn't sell a replacement. Disposable equipment.

Thank you for this. I would have otherwise probably gotten this because I also love my other Greenworks 80V tools—the chainsaw just GOES and the batteries charge so fast!
